Children are the world's most valuable resource and it is best hope for the future. In a developing country like India, unless & until children are cared properly, a bright future can’t even be imagined. The
Primary Education Directorate
is concerned with for the education, schemes and policies for development of children for age group 6-14 i.e., for Std. I-VIII using Right To Education Act and Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan.
In Bihar, there are 51280 primary schools and 28563 middle schools, 15180772 students and 328637 teachers which come under primary education directorate. As the literacy rate is a matter of concern in Bihar, the Directorate is determined to provide a platform which routes to educational, physical, social and mental growth of children. The directorate is not only concerned with the sense of teaching, but also assisting the psychological development of the child. For overall development of children, various schemes have been launched, like:
