The Department of Education , Government of Bihar is determined to set up a rich educational environment across the state. It aims to reach out to the most deprived section of our society and empower them through education. The recent initiatives undertaken by the department like the various schemes i.e.,
Mukhyamantri Balika Cycle Yojana, Mukhyamantri Poshak Yojana, Mukhyamantri Balika Protsahan Yojana
etc. have paid off in building a learning atmosphere in the state. These efforts are widely appreciated by every section of the society. The department focuses extensively on the welfare of the society and aims to strengthen the weaker sections and children who are the future of the country through the provision of quality primary educational services.
Seconadary and Higher Education are also being improved and the department has supported the establishment of institutions of national repute like Chankya Law University and Chandragupta School of Management Studies.
Our universities have been assisted so that they revamp their education and research delivery related services to our citizens. In terms of reach of educational services and state spending, the two have been multiplied many folds during last five-six years.
The next commendable step taken by the department is the initiative to make the functioning of its various programs more transparent and accurate through
Information, Communication and Technology
