The strength of the country is measured through the efficiency of their youth. To motivate youth, the
Higher Education Directorate
has been working continuously. The main objective of the Directorate is to provide all necessary resources which can aid the growth and efficiency through education. This Directorate is concerned with the education of Under Graduation and Post Graduation.
In Bihar, there are 10 universities, 262 constituent colleges and 217 affiliated colleges which come under Higher Education Directorate. The Directorate not only provides necessary education, but also civil construction and allied activities. It also takes care of all minority and technical colleges of the state. As a step to work out for unemployment problem, the directorate is trying to establish career oriented technical approach with AICTE and UGC.
Concern of Directorate
Main Concern of Higher Education directorate are as follows:
Implementing several scholarship schemes;
Providing fund for educational tour and seminars;
Creating new knowledge;
Acquiring new capabilities;
Challenging teaching, research and extension activities;
Revised evaluation and assessment system;
Quality assurance in higher education;
Revised curriculum planning;
